Fish are bagged individually with pure oxygen, double-bagged, and packed in insulated boxes with heat or cold packs as the route requires. We ship early in the week so no fish spends a weekend in a depot, and we hold shipments for weather — if it's dangerously hot or cold along the route, we'll contact you to reschedule rather than risk the fish.
We guarantee live arrival on the first delivery attempt. If a fish arrives dead: photograph it in the unopened bag within 2 hours of delivery and send the photos to us via the contact page. We'll replace the fish or refund it — your choice. The guarantee can't cover boxes left out after delivery or delays caused by an incorrect address.
Float the sealed bags 20–30 minutes to match temperature, then drip-acclimate for about an hour — our fish are kept in cool, soft water (each species' passport lists the exact parameters). Don't feed the first day. Killifish jump: have the lid on before the fish goes in.
Reserved fish are held while we arrange payment and shipping with you directly. Local pickup and meet-ups at club events and shows are always an option — ask.
Questions before you buy? Contact the fishroom — we'd rather answer first than refund later.
